Sherando Tardy Policy

Students are to be inside their assigned classrooms before the 7:55 a.m. bell. If students are not in classrooms before 7:55 a.m. they need to report to the tardy table to get a pass; it will be counted as unexcused tardy.

• Tardies 1-3: Student will receive a warning.
• 4th Tardy: This results in either Lunch/Study Hall Detention or a morning/after-school detention.
• 7th Tardy: You will again face a Lunch/Study Hall Detention or a morning/after-school detention.
• 10th Tardy: In addition to another detention, there is the possibility of losing certain privileges.
• 13th Tardy: You will face same consequences as the 10th Tardy, with the continued potential of losing certain privileges.

*Parents/guardians have 24 hours to excuse the tardy. Parents/guardians can excuse tardies through the school website or by contacting our attendance office by phone/email.*
