Community Facility Use

FCPS has implemented a new tool for requesting use of FCPS facilities. 

FCPS Facility Use

Frederick County Public Schools can be used for community events and other activities. Your request must be submitted online through Operations Hero and is not officially approved until you receive a confirmation email.

If you have never used Operations Hero before, follow these steps to create an account:

• Read Regulation 721R, Operations and Finance - Equal Access to School Facilities, Students and Staff
• View the Fee Schedule
• Go to Operations Hero and click "Login" in the top right corner. You can login using Google, Microsoft, Classlink or Clever accounts. Or, select "Sign Up" to create a new account.
• Once logged in, select "Venues" from the top menu or "Book Now" in the main banner.
• Select "Create a New Group" and fill out all required information.
• Submit for review for your request to be approved.
• Once approved by FCPS, you can begin submitting requests for using FCPS facilities.
• Follow prompts and enter required request information including Date, Time, Space, How Many People and Valid Certificate of Insurance.
• Wait for an email to confirm your account request has been approved.

Frederick County Parks and Rec

The Frederick County Parks and Recreation Department operates community centers at Evendale Elementary School, Gainesboro Elementary School, Greenwood Mill Elementary School, Orchard View Elementary School and Sherando High School. The department also operates the basicREC program.
